Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and DishDuo ("we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the DishDuo application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Please read these Terms carefully. By installing, opening, creating an account, or interacting with the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must immediately uninstall and discontinue all use of the Service.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

To use DishDuo, you must represent and warrant the following:

• You are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.
• You will create only one account and provide accurate registration details. Unverified email accounts or inactive guest profiles are subject to automated cleanup deletions after 3 days.
• You are responsible for protecting your account security and credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

3. Group Lobbies & Invites

DishDuo allows users to create dining lobbies to match restaurant choices with group members or partners. Lobbies can be joined via a unique alphanumeric lobby code.

Couple Mode Invitation Flow: Activating Couple Mode requires a mutual two-way connection process. A user invites their partner by email, creating a pending invitation. The partner must explicitly accept this request and choose their respective relationship roles (e.g. "him/her") before the profiles are linked and premium aesthetics/lobby synchronization are unlocked.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

DishDuo offers premium subscription options ("Plus Upgrade") granting access to specialized consensus calculations, Couple Mode layouts, custom styling themes, and advanced geolocation options.

• Billing Verification: Premium checkouts are processed via the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and managed in real-time by RevenueCat.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of the billing period unless cancelled through your respective app store account settings at least 24 hours prior to renewal.
• Refunds: Payments are processed directly by the respective application store platform. Refund requests are subject to those stores' standard refund policies.

5. Telemetry & Matching

By using our swipe matching system, you acknowledge that we compile and evaluate user interactions (such as the length of time you view a restaurant card and whether you browse the card's image carousel).

This telemetry interest score is written directly to the database and used to calculate consensus matching compromises if no direct matches are found.

6. Acceptable User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal, unauthorized, or commercial purposes.
• Circumvent verification checks, spoof location data, or manipulate swipe scores.
• Inject malicious scripts, scrape restaurant listings, or spam code-invite systems.
• Harass or abuse other group members inside dining lobbies.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL DISHDUO, ITS DEVELOPERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INACCURATE GEOLOCATIONS, OR BAD RESTAURANT EXPERIENCES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and block access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice or liability, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the database resources.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and your relationship with DishDuo shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
